Alumina Powder Price at its Highest
Zhongsen Editor 2024-10-28Price of Alumina Powder here in China has reached its highest point in the past 10 years after consecutive increase in the past days. Price till today is about CNY5000 per ton, which may continue to go up in the coming days.
The rising price has been a unexpectable cost for China's aluminum industry in the past days, and is now a big threat to their profit. Many alumina powder producers in China has been reducing or even stopping fullfilling orders of their customers. Many aluminum and White Fused Alumina/Tabular Alumina producers have stopped to quote to customers. Some companies are facing great pressure of losing orders and profit from their customers.
Main reasons for the increase this year are the restrictions on import of alumina powder into China by Guyana goverment, and also the reduced production output of domestic alumina powder. The high price may go up again and run at a high level for a long time, as these factors are not going to be improved a lot.
